Alright, so as you can tell this is just going to be an introductory post where I talk a little bit about me and what I plan on doing on this page.
First off, my name is Bo Phillips and although I live in the United States, I adore football. (And I do mean football, not our stupid, made-up word: soccer). I particularly love the Barclays Premier League and UEFA Champions League. However, I will do my best to write about football from France, Spain, Netherlands, Italy, Germany, and Portugal as well.
I am a Manchester City fanatic and have been for the last 7 or 8 years. The primary reason for my fanhood is that I like to be different, and seeing as how everyone here in the States seems to love Manchester United, well I picked the most opposite team I could find, cross-town rival, City. Luckily for me, my boys managed to win the FA Cup in 2011 and the league title just last May. Unluckily, City have been drawn into the group of death for two straight years in the Champions League. And frankly, they have played like rubbish for each of the past two years in that competition. But that is a topic for another day.
As for what I plan on discussing... everything. Sometimes I may do a review of a match, or I may do a quick paper chase if its a boring day. Who knows? Not me. Like you, I have no idea how this is going to go. I do know, though, that I'm doing this just for some fun so I'll write about whatever interests me in football that day or week or whatever. If something works then I will probably keep trying it and if something falls flat then I won't do it again for a while. Whatever happens I want this to always stay fun for myself and whoever reads this (if anyone ever does...).
